A unique escape – Belmond Cadogen Hotel
Earlier this month we were lucky enough to be invited down to the Belmond Cadogen Hotel to have a look around.
This stunning venue is located in one of London’s most stylish neighbourhoods. Step out from the main entrance and be swept up in the luxury of Knightsbridge, or slip out of the side door into the artistic heart of Chelsea. It’s extremely convenient, just a 5 minute walk from Sloane Square tube station and only a 35 minute drive from Heathrow airport.
Our favourite thing about this hotel is the history that can be felt throughout. The Royal Suite, for example, has a bedroom door marked 118 – the famed room where Oscar Wilde was arrested. Also, the private entrance on 21 Pont Street is the former home of the famed actress and socialite, Lillie Langtry. This rich British history can be felt in little touches throughout the whole venue.
The idyllic location, breathtaking interior and star studded history make it the perfect choice for private dinners and business lunches. The hotel has 54 rooms and suites in total. It can also accommodate private dining for up to 50 guests and theatre style for 70. The event space can be divided into two sections, with lounges available for additional breakout space. Or to make a real statement, the Royal Suite can be used for more intimate meetings or dinners for around 8-10 people.
Another wow factor feature is the exclusive garden access. The private gardens can be used to host outdoor events or to offer your guests a place to relax and unwind.
The team of expert chefs, headed up by the celebrated chef Adam Handling, can work with you to create an imaginative British menu; from morning pastries to sensational canapés and traditional afternoon teas. The menus created at Cadogen are known for perfectly blending British cuisine and daringly modern flair and imagination.
